03 06 08 10:51 - 1st Eurocup in 2008, Moravske Toplice
This weekend we had another wonderful event, organised by modelling club Ftič. I think everyone really enjoyed it. Nice country, nice people, nice flying field, good food, excellent spas ... So good that some folks came to Moravske Toplice at the beginning of the week and relaxed there. Oh, it seems they did a lot of training too ;)
Weather was perfect. Not in the sense that there were thermas everywhere, but in a sense that for the most flights, we really had to work hard to find a proper lift and stay in the sky. For example in my second round, I got over 800 points with the flight time of 4:27. On saturday afternoon flights became easier, but situation reversed on sunday. We flew the last round in the morning and the thermals were really strong, so in the flyoffs people bravely started with short motor runs. I think all but one in the first F5J flyoff repeated their starts, which was quite a sight. The sky tricked that many good pilots :)

Another ill-fated competition. Main organizer got medical problems and two days before the event airstrip at Loče cancelled their hospitality, so we had to find an ad-hoc solution. Fortunately modeling club at Krško offered their place and manpower and they were able to put everything together basically overnight. Congratulations and many thanks :)
Because of complications, number of competitors was again low. But they all missed a wonderful weather, challenging conditions and really nice day of flying. Modeling club at Krško has a very nice place and we'll be there again on the last race of slovenian Cup.

Catching up with reports ... This competition was almost cancelled due to bad weather forecast, but luckily the cold front passed in the early morning hours so we were left only with strong winds. Relatively small number of competitors, just one group in each category, so we finished quickly.
